The property was once part of the historic Wimpole Estate, now a beautiful National Trust property just yards from the hotel. Other National Trust properties in the area include Anglesey Abbey, Houghton Mill and Peckover House.

Arrington is approximately 12 miles south west of the beautiful university city of Cambridge with its many historic colleges and buildings. A must during a summer visit is a punting trip down the river alongĀ  The Backs!

If you fancy a flutter, both Newmarket and Huntingdon racecourses are within striking distance, as is the greyhound track in Peterborough.

The Hardwicke Arms is situated approximately 6 miles north of Royston on Ermine Way, (also known as Ermine Street or The Old North Road) part of the old Roman road running from London to York. The A1198 runs from Royston to Huntingdon, and is easily accessible from junctions 10 (A505), 11 (A10), 12 (A603) and 13 (A428) off the M11.

We are approximately 45 minutes from both Stansted and Luton airports, and an hour from London. Royston is just 6 miles away, and there are regular train services to London Kings Cross, Cambridge, Peterborough and beyond.
