Head chef, Jayne, ably assisted by Eddie enjoy creating new and exciting dishes incorporating fresh local produce.

We are delighted to use fresh organic eggs supplied by our friends at Wimpole Home Farm. And a must-try are the Wimpole Rare Breed sausages – yummy!

We continuously change our menus to suit the season, and meals on offer combine innovative ideas alongside traditional favourites. Functions and private parties catered for, so please talk to us regarding your requirements! Most of our dishes can be served gluten/allergy free, but please advise when you order!

Lunch is served every day from our bar menu and ever-changing specials board in our bar areas and garden (weather permitting). In the evenings you may also choose to dine in our oak-panelled restaurant with its fabulous feature fireplace.

The chefs special lunch is £6.50 is available Monday to Friday (except on public holidays) and changes most days.

The public bar is open daily from 11.30 am until 11.00 pm (12.00 noon to 10.30 pm on Sundays and on public holidays). We stock a wide choice of fine wines and spirits, as well as our very popular real ales which are constantly changing. Dedicated to promoting local suppliers where we can, you will regularly find such delights as NETHERGATE’S “IPA” or ” GB” along with Green king IPA, SPECKLED HEN, RUDDLES and Sharps Doombar is the ‘HOUSE’ real ale.  Spitfire, bombardier appearing as guest ales. We now serve  -: Coors light, Carling lager, Carling cider  along with Grolsch  and Guinness & Guinness Gold and HOP HOUSE 13
